Long Island Congenital Heart Walk

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page! I am participating in the Congenital Heart Walk to support the mission of The Children's Heart Foundation: to advance the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of congenital heart defects by funding the most promising research.

I hope you'll join me by supporting my fundraising efforts as I work to raise funds for life-saving research.

My first exposure to congenital heart defects was as a 4th year medical student during a rotation at Washington DC Children’s Hospital in 1980. So many children needed our help! Many of these children in the early ‘80s did not survive and many that did survive had bleak options for their futures. That sent me on a path to make a difference and I finished my training to become a pediatric cardiologist on Long Island in 1986. Since those early days, we have come so far with major technological advances in medical therapeutics, procedures and surgeries, but we still have so much further to go. Because of your efforts, we are continuing to drive congenital heart defect research funding to help outcomes and happiness for present and future children! Children with congenital heart defects need our help – THANK YOU!
