Joining the Children's Heart Foundation has been a rewarding experience and this foundation holds a special place in my heart. Working in cardiology as a registered nurse, I have taken care of numerous patients including children with congenital heart defects. I have had the pleasure of knowing these kids and seeing their strength and resilience as well as getting to know their parents and families. I have witnessed the emotional hardships and seen the difference that our fundraising has made in their lives. This is not just a walk, it is a step forward towards the continuing advancement through groundbreaking research centered around the diagnosis, management, and treatment of congenital heart defects.
