This year, our family is walking in the Congenital Heart Walk to honor our little Heart Warrior, Declan Scott. Declan is kind, brave, funny and the sweetest big brother anyone could ask for. He feels deeply and loves fiercely, and I am endlessly proud to be his mom.
Declan was born with a congenital heart defect that will inevitably require heart surgery in the future. So as you can imagine, this cause is very near and dear to our hearts.
The Congenital Heart Walk supports The Children's Heart Foundation and their mission to advance the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of congenital heart defects through groundbreaking research. Every step we take is for Declan and for the countless children and families walking similar paths.
