Welcome to the team page of The Heart Throbs! We support Jackson Anastasia and all of the heart warriors and angels impacted by CHD (congenital heart defects). Jackson is surviving and thriving because of the research and resources poured into these little ones who are born with THE MOST COMMON BIRTH DEFECT IN OUR COUNTRY. This walk is making a difference. Jackson was born with an extremely large VSD and multiple ASD's (large holes in his heart) that had him in congestive heart failure from the time he was born until he received life saving open heart surgery at seven weeks old. Jackson was lucky, we live outside of Boston and had access to the best care in the world. We met families who had spent their entire savings just attempting to get a consultation with the surgeons that did Jackson's surgery. Not all families have access to the research and funding that we have and we continue to walk each year to support them.
