Every 15 minutes in the United States, a baby is born with a congenital heart defect, making CHDs the most common birth defect in our country. The Congenital Heart Walk is dedicated to making a difference. Our mission is clear - we aim to raise funds to support The Children's Heart Foundation in its quest to advance the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of CHDs by funding groundbreaking research.

In 2016, a month after Wade was born, he underwent two heart surgeries in two days to repair a heart defect that we didn't know existed until we took him to the ER one random day for a breathing problem. Even though that was such a scary time, Wade has persevered ever since and his heart is doing better than ever. We are very appreciative to the team of doctors and nurses that recognized the problem and acted fast in getting his defect fixed. With that being said, we want to raise money to help families like us who were blindsided by the diagnosis of CHD. Our goal is $1000 by race day on September 28th, 2024.
