Every 15 minutes in the United States, a baby is born with a congenital heart defect, making CHDs the most common birth defect in our country. The Congenital Heart Walk is dedicated to making a difference. Our mission is clear - we aim to raise funds to support The Children's Heart Foundation in its quest to advance the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of CHDs by funding groundbreaking research.

Knox was diagnosed with Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome (in utero) July 20th, 2017. Approximately 1,000 babies in the US are born with HLHS each year. Knox has since had 3 successful open heart surgeries - the Hybrid (Dec 2017), the Glenn (May 2018) and the Fontan (July 2021). Knox's surgeries were all performed by Dr. Mark Galantowicz at Nationwide Children's Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. Knox is now a thriving 6 year old and we are thankful each and every day!
