2025 Chicago Marathon presented by Bank of America
Kaitlyn Litchfield
About me!
My name is Kaitlyn, I am from the South Shore of Massachusetts, a photographer, a runner reborn, and mom to two little boys Camden & Nathan.
I am honored to run The 2025 Chicago Marathon for The Flutie Foundation! This will be my fourth time running for Dougie's Team. In November 2023 I ran my first 1/2 Marathon in Disney, September 2024 I ran the Berlin Marathon, and in April I was honored to be part of Dougie's Team for The Boston Marathon!
I have committed to running the six Abbott World Majors for The Flutie Foundation and Chicago will be my third major start in one year. I always say I don't do anything a little bit!
Autism has changed my life in the most beautiful way possible. My oldest son was diagnosed at 22 months old and since then I have been committed to helping others who are on the same journey. There are so many hopes and dreams that come along with having your first child but no one prepares you for the words "He has Autism." I remember crying, thinking somehow I had done something to give him Autism. I knew nothing about ASD, I didn't know what his life would be like, I didn't know how to help him. I also didn't know that having an Autistic child is a rare gift, it opens your eyes, it forces you to learn, it lights a fire inside you to fight for them. To fight for inclusion and acceptance for everyone on the spectrum.
I run to show my children that there is a world where people are accepting and inclusive, so they know that kindness matters. I ran almost the entire Boston Marathon alongside my teammate who is on the spectrum, it was an unexpected gift and something that has changed me forever.
The Flutie Foundation's mission is to help Autistic people and their families live life to the fullest. The money we raise directly supports those in our community! Every donation, big or small, will have an impact!
I run not for myself, but for the people and families who are navigating life with Autism.
Thank you for supporting me and The Flutie Foundation!

My Boston Bestie, Mark doing hard things!
Running with Mark is a gift, he has taught me so much about my own son. So grateful for his friendship!
