On Sunday, March 5, 2023, I will be participating in the 2023 Chicago Polar Plunge, celebrating more than 20 years of plunging! I used to think jumping into a frigid lake was nuts! Now I realize how important this event is in inspiring generous donations to a great cause.
A long-time sports nut, volleyball, basketball and track were my favorites growing up. Now that my knees seem older than the rest of my body, I enjoy swimming! The joys of sports should be accessible to everyone, and through your donations, people with intellectual disabilities have the opportunity to engage in sports and discover new strengths, abilities and accomplishments.
