Thank you to everyone who donated and allowed us to participate, the event was fun, can't wait for next year!
Krampus and Santa tried to put an end to the age-old debate of who is better at helping the kids learn to be better people. Last year they took their fight to the water and Santa totally cheated by pushing Krampus into the water, I definitely didn't fall in and blame him. Well, this year will be different, I'm ready for a rematch and Santa is going down!
Krampus thinks they have a chance this time, but they are wrong! I'm bringing some backup this year, my elf is going to ensure victory for Santa.
(Just in case, I'll point out that this is just for fun, there is no actual fighting, the role of Santa is being played by my dad and my mom is playing his elf, just wanted to give some lore to the costumes. So many people at the event had so much fun taking pictures with Santa that we wanted to do it again. Maybe this time someone will want to take a picture with Krampus too?)
On Sunday, March 3, 2024 our team will participate in the 2024 Chicago Polar Plunge, one of the city's most popular winter fundraising events!! We are excited to take on the challenge of the Chicago Polar Plunge and jump into Lake Michigan’s chilly waters to support thousands of Chicagoans who participate in Special Olympics Chicago/Special Children’s Charities programs. Through your donations, people with intellectual disabilities can discover new strengths, abilities, and accomplishments.
