Thank you for visiting Aila’s fundraising page! We are proud to be part of the 17th Annual DSAW-Chippewa Valley Down Syndrome Awareness Walk because it means so much to our family. I was referred to DSAW when we learned of Aila’s extra chromosome at the halfway point of my pregnancy.  DSAW connected me with their newly established prenatal diagnosis support group, and I began attending virtual meetings twice a month.  Some of you may know how important this was to help me – as you’ve met another mother and her son, who is just a month older than Aila.  I know that I will be friends with some of the mothers I’ve met for life.

Please consider supporting our team in a way that feels right for you. Each donation received will support individuals with Down syndrome. Our family has just started to increase our participation in the social events offered by the Chippewa Valley DSAW chapter, and it helps to not feel as alone and build our community.  Matt and I have also participated in virtual education sessions as we look to plan Aila’s future.
