"Unfortunately, while “social distancing” and working remotely can help reduce the spread of a pandemic, it is detrimental for a child who is being sexually or physically abused at home." - Cary Clack, San Antonio Express-News 03.20.2020

ChildSafe

In a matter of weeks, COVID-19 has uprooted the lives of children and families in our community. Amid school closures, movement restrictions, and new financial stressors for caregivers, thousands of children in our community are at risk of being abused, neglected, and exploited.

Your donation helps!

Our goal is to raise $5k for Child Safe from now to May 31st as a part of RED Day to ensure children and families continue to have access to the services they so desperately need.

Where your donation goes

During this unprecedented time of global health crisis, ChildSafe continues to deliver its critical services to keep children safe and protected.

Your gifts go directly to support the urgent recovery services of abused children. Time is of the essence, because no child who is being abused can wait! All gifts, regardless of size, support services that address the pressing needs of at-risk children.

Our Mission

To restore dignity, hope, and trust to children traumatized by abuse and neglect.

Who We Are

ChildSafe is the first stop for children entering the justice system because of sexual abuse, severe physical abuse, and those who have witnessed a violent crime.

Our Impact

Since 1992, because of ChildSafe, an estimated 75,000 individuals have recovered from the devastating effects of childhood trauma, developed healthy coping skills, and learned to break the cycle of abuse.

If you see or suspect abuse or neglect:

Report it to the Texas Child Abuse Hotline at 1.800.252.5400
