After 4 years of trying naturally and doing fertility treatments, we finally saw two little heartbeats. We were overjoyed to learn we were expecting 2 girls. 

At 21 weeks, during a routine visit, it was discovered that I suffered from an incompetent cervix. By the time I met with the specialist the next morning, I was dilated 1cm. I had an emergency rescue cerclage placed, and was sent home to spend the rest of my pregnancy on bed rest. 

2 weeks later Lexi's water broke, and then Lucy's followed 2 days later. I started having contractions and was admitted. We were left with nothing to do but wait, and it was excruciating.  Lexi and Lucy were born at 10:28am and 10:30am on July 13, 2016. The next hour was spent holding, loving, and taking in every inch of our sweet daughters. They took their final breaths wrapped in our arms. Our love for our girls is everlasting, and they will never be forgotten. This year we will be raising money for Count the Kicks in their honor.
