This year my sister Liza and I will be hosting our third annual fundraiser for Creutzfeldt-Jakob Disease. In May of 2016 our dad was diagnosed with sporadic CJD, which is a neurodegenerative brain disease. Soon after his diagnosis, he passed away. As of now, there is no treatment or cure. To this date, my sister and I have raised over 20,000 dollars to fund the Ross Melamed Family Research grant which directly funds research to help find a cure. We are looking forward to seeing you at our walk this June.
