Childhood cancer is something no family should ever have to face — but far too many do. We know this pain intimately. Our dear friend Brianna Bailey was only five years old when she lost her courageous battle with neuroblastoma. She was full of light, laughter, and love — a little girl who touched everyone she met.
Her mom, Emily and I brought our kids together and shared playdates, giggles, and the kind of pure, joyful friendship that only children can know. Watching cancer take Brianna from her mother, from us, from the world, was devastating beyond words. Cancer is cruel. But when it takes a child, it feels unbearable.
That’s why we’re raising funds for Cannonball Kids’ Cancer Foundation — an organization that is boldly challenging the lack of funding and options for kids fighting cancer. CKC invests in innovative, cutting-edge research so no child has to suffer from a lack of treatment options. So no parent has to hear, “There’s nothing more we can do.”
We’re doing this in Brianna’s name for every child still fighting. Because kids deserve more than hope — they deserve a cure.
