Thank you for taking the time to visit Rory’s page and learn more about his journey. Our family is incredibly grateful to everyone who has supported him and encouraged us.

Rory was born with congenital heart disease, and his journey has been anything but easy. In just 7 months, he has undergone a two unifocalization procedures and nearly half a dozen catheterization procedures, along with countless appointments, hospital stays, and challenges. Through it all, Rory has shown remarkable strength, courage, determination, resilience, and lots of smiles.

As his parents, we could not be more proud of him.

Some of the most meaningful moments, though, are the ones when Rory simply gets to be a baby. His smiles, giggles, flirting, dance moves and little roars remind us that behind the procedures and medical challenges is a little boy who wants to laugh, play, be loved, and enjoy being home with his family. Those moments mean everything to us.

This year, our family is participating in the Congenital Heart Walk in support of The Children’s Heart Foundation CHF, an organization celebrating 30 years of funding research dedicated to improving the lives and futures of children born with congenital heart defects.

CHF’s mission is to advance the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of congenital heart defects through groundbreaking research. The funds raised through the Congenital Heart Walk help support research aimed at improving treatments and outcomes, reducing complications, and giving Heart Warriors like Rory the opportunity to celebrate more birthdays.

For our family, this mission is deeply personal.

By walking and raising awareness, we hope to support not only Rory, but also the many families beginning or continuing their own CHD journeys. Every child deserves the opportunity to grow, thrive, and experience as much of life as possible.
