For fifteen years, I have been on the Board of Directors at Project Place, and last spring began serving as Chair. I believe in sharing my good fortune with those who support the values that are dear to me, and would like to invite you to join me in doing so by donating to my fundraiser to support Project Place. Project Place was established over 50 years ago to help people break the cycle of homelessness and poverty. Project Place trains (or re-trains) people to enter the workforce so that they can lift themselves up out of poverty, afford housing, reunite with family, and create meaningful lives supported ultimately by their own efforts. I am lucky to have work that fulfills me and brings meaning to my life; it has allowed me to afford a home, a car, education, and to help family members to reach their dreams. Project Place gives people experiencing homelessness and poverty the resources, education, and training they need to do the same. Project Place empowers their clients in finding meaningful work which creates purpose and pride in their lives.
