Hi there! My name is Rachel Meyer, and I am a mentor at the Mizzou Chapter of College Mentors for Kids. I am a pre-med chemistry major and a sophomore here at Mizzou. This program allows me to have the opportunity to meet with so many amazing kids that regularly teach me more about the world through their remarkable stories.
For me, higher education was always the plan. I knew from a young age that I would graduate high school and continue onto college the very next summer. However, this is not the reality for many children, especially the ones involved in College Mentors for Kids. Our goal is to inform our little buddies that education beyond high school is an option that they should consider.
However, this program cannot run on its own. I need your help to raise money for the program so we can afford after school snacks, fun activities, and other necessary items to ensure the well-being of the kids.
