Growing up, kids can easily become discouraged to go to college.  As children originally have the grandest hopes and goals, society often shoots this down.  School and life become overwhelming extremely fast.  Kids across the country are being taught to fit in the norm of society and not think out of the box. For those with lower income situations, the transition through obstacles in life may be even harder.  This is where College Mentors comes into play.

Through this program, "Little Buddy's" are matched with a College Student who helps mold and influence them in the most positive way, encouraging them to be the best version of themselves.  Stimulating activities along with the atmosphere of a college campus motivates these children to set high goals and be excited to achieve them.

I enjoy being a part of this program because you get the chance to see your Little Buddy prosper in every aspect.  The way each child looks up to you as a leader proves the amount of influence you can really have in the best way.  I also learn so much through my Little Buddy.  It is a two- way relationship and my Little Buddy is extremely intelligent and motivated.

I would really appreciate any donation you can make to help further my experience in this program. Since it is only my first year with my Little Buddy, I would love the chance to grow alongside this individual and see them mature as well.  The impact College Mentors makes on this community is absolutely amazing and can only be achieved with your help!
