As you may know, I have a passion for working with children. I also am a huge believer in equal opportunity. College Mentors for Kids has given me a way to have an impact in each of these aspects. College Mentors for Kids provides college student mentors to serve as positive role models for kids and open their eyes to new opportunities, helping them to create new visions for their futures. Not only do I have something to look forward to every week, but I can also look forward to how my little buddy will blossom in the future. A majority of our buddies live in poverty or low-income homes, and more than 80% of them don't have a family history of higher education. 

My little buddy and her peers are awesome kids that deserve the world. I love spending time with them, and seeing how confident they can become. We learn together through every activity, about diversity, leadership, community, and culture. There is no other way I would want to grow as a person!
