Why College Mentors?

Hello! Its Amanda Belmar here and I am currently attending The Ohio State University as a first-generation student, pursuing a dual degree in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics (PPE)  & Psychology. Currently, on campus, I am involved in a student organization titled College Mentors for Kids. Every Monday, I pick my buddy up from the bus and for two hours, she gets to enjoy the simplicity of being a kid, with little responsibilities, and a lot of fun.

80% of children involved in the program are coming from a low-income family where they are most likely to be the first to pursue higher education. College Mentors for Kids is a program that is built to show kids that their dream only stops becoming a dream once it is reality. By donating to my fundraising page, this program can continue to be free for all children attending, and we can expand our day to day activities. I'm asking you to contribute to the change you want to see in the world. Anything helps!
