Community Leaders in 4C puts the patient community at the center of CMT4C research, combining scientific expertise with lived experience.
In the Community Leaders program, volunteer leaders take on a one-year role focused on a single CMT subtype. They work with CMTRF towards two goals: elevating research projects for their subtype, and leading the effort within their community to fund them.
Gifts made to the CMT4C Community Leaders fund in November will be matched, up to $25,000, by an anonymous donor. If the community meets that match, a second $25,000 match opens in December. Together, the two rounds would bring $100,000 to CMT4C research.
