College Mentors is important to me because I believe their innovative and unique program is making a difference. By investing in college students, College Mentors creates a generation of adults ready to give back to their communities. The program also makes sure elementary students realize their future brings opportunities around every corner-- and maybe down the street at their local college campus!

I became involved with College Mentors for Kids because of one of my biggest mentors in my life, my older sister. Her involvement in the organization at Indiana University peaked my interest, and after meeting my little buddy for the first time I knew how important this organization was. Throughout my college years being a part of the organization helped me get involved in the local Bloomington community as well as in leadership at IU. Mentoring elementary school aged children once a week through College Mentors became some of my favorite and most impactful memories in college and I am so thankful for the organization and all it has given me! I am honored to be able to support them now as an alumni.
