Growing up can be tough, but having someone who believes in you makes it a little easier. That is why I have chosen to volunteer with College Mentors for Kids.

College Mentors for Kids connects children with college students through weekly on-campus activities that inspire growth, confidence, and hope for the future. For me, volunteering means more than just spending time with my little buddy. It is about building a relationship, exploring the world together, and discovering new things about ourselves along the way. From learning about careers, culture, and community service to simply enjoying each other’s company, every week brings new experiences that shape both of our lives.

The program does not just benefit the kids, it teaches me about patience, leadership, and the power of giving back. My little buddy inspires me as much as I hope I inspire them. Programs like College Mentors for Kids are so important because they create lasting bonds and ripple effects that reach far beyond the campus.
