Did you know that mentoring can transform lives? Research shows that kids with mentors view themselves and their futures more positively, build confidence, and achieve better outcomes in school and their communities. Growing up can be challenging, but having a mentor makes a big difference.

That’s why I’m proud to be involved with College Mentors for Kids as the Vice President of Programming (VPP) for Tuesday. This is my fourth year in the club and second year serving on the executive board, and as a senior, it’s especially meaningful to help lead a program that creates impactful experiences for our mentors and buddies each week.

College Mentors for Kids connects elementary school students with college mentors through weekly on-campus activities that inspire growth, confidence, and curiosity about college, careers, culture, and community. In my role, I help plan and organize these programs so mentors and buddies can learn, explore, and grow together.
