Why do I love being a mentor?  There are so many reasons.

First, I love being able to inspire, uplift, and spread positivity to people, especially the youth.  It is always one of my life purposes to give back to the youth, as they are the future leaders of our world.  

I want to remind every kid that his or her dream is possible.  No matter what they want to do or be in this world.  I want to remind them that no matter what circumstances come up, or how bad life can be at times, there is always a positive light in everything and there is always a lesson to learn from and grow.

Second, I want to spread the values of diversity and inclusion, to help kids understand the beauty in diversity and the differences that make us unique.  

Third, I want to strive to become the best version of me.  I want to give value back to the community in any way I can, whether that is just making someone smile or laugh for just one moment out of a day.  At least that would be one moment that I can say that I changed someone's life for the better.  

And finally, I want to help children enjoy the present moment.  These are their critical years, when they are growing and blossoming into the individuals that one day will change this world that we all share.  I want them to learn new and exciting skills and hobbies while making friendships with those around us.  

We all share this world.  And I believe that if we all had the mindset of acceptance and inclusion, we all would give more to the world, which will continue a positive cycle that keeps giving.  I want to break through negative cycles that these kids may have had to endure, and transform them into positives ones that can give them value for a lifetime.
