Hello, my name is Colin Honeman! I am a sophmore studying biology with the hopes of being a Physical Therapist one day. This is my second year doing college mentors and I have loved every minute of it!

College Mentors for Kids connects kids to college students through weekly on-campus activities where the college students get to be a mentor to the kids. In my first year of college mentors, I served as a mentor to a third grader. Every week was filled with excitement where both my little buddy and I got to grow. This year, I have transitioned to being a general manager. As a general manager, I oversee 8 pairs of college students and little buddies from 5th grade and get to lead their experience each week. As a GM, I get to lead and learn from so many more people and get to make a positive impact on everyone in my group. 

I enjoy volunteering because I get to spend time with the little buddies each week and participate in fun activities with other mentors and buddies. I also get to provide the buddy pairs with information about careers, culture, diversity, and community service. This program helps me to give back to my community, and I'm learning important leadership skills in the meantime.
