My name is Chloe Siler, and I am a freshman at the University of Kentucky, pursuing a degree in Social Work. The career field of social work is dedicated to serving others, and giving back to my new community is a priority during my collegiate career. College Mentors for Kids is granting me that opportunity.
Growing up, I had an abundant amount of mentors in my life that have shaped me to be the person I am today. Even today, I am fortunate enough to have mentors in my life that help me grow and learn as I achieve my goals. I chose College Mentors for Kids because I want more kids to have the same experience I did.
College Mentors enables me to teach my little buddy about different career paths, culture and diversity, and community service. In addition to my little buddy's learning, I am also growing through this experience by giving me an opportunity to give back to my Lexington community!
College Mentors for Kids connects kids to college students through weekly on-campus activities that inspire growth, confidence, and brighter futures.
I wouldn't be able to have the courage and leadership skills I have today without the mentors, past and present, that have played crucial roles in my life.
