Did you know that mentoring transforms lives? Research shows that kids with mentors view themselves and their futures more positively than those without mentors. They gain confidence, do better in school, and are more engaged in their communities. Growing up can be challenging, but having someone to guide and encourage you can make a huge difference. That's exactly why I decided to volunteer with College Mentors for Kids.

This program connects kids to college students through weekly on-campus activities that inspire growth, confidence, and bright futures. I personally love spending time with my little buddy each week, whether we are exploring new hobbies, learning about different subjects, or simply sharing stories and laughs. I've been amazed at how much I've learned from them, like practicing teamwork and compassion towards others. My buddy not only grows through our time together, but I do too, developing important leadership skills while still giving back to the community.
