College Mentors for Kids connects kids to college students through weekly on-campus activities that inspire growth, confidence, and brighter futures.

I enjoy volunteering because I love spending time with my little buddy! As an architecture major, it is a part of my week that I get to look forward to, one that is separate from my school life. This is my second year in the program, and my second year as a Transportation Officer. This role includes making sure the little buddies get to and from their school, safely. I ride the bus to Virginia Tech and back to their school when our activity day comes to an end. What I love most about this program is how it allows me to be involved in a more widespread community, and giving back to the youth. I value the lessons I have and continuously learn from mentorship.

For this program to happen, we do need to fundraise. Each of us is in charge of raising $225.00 in addition to participating in various percentage nights and selling particular items through the program. Any amount helps, and is greatly appreciated!
