This year for College Mentors for Kids, I am proud to announce I am a general manager! College Mentors for Kids allows a unique experience for both the mentors and the little buddies. As a general manger, I get to oversee a fourth grade buddy family. I have an amazing group of mentors and buddies that I am working with and I am so excited to be apart of it!

Mentors can impact these kids lives positively by giving them support, confidence and they can have more positive outcomes in school.We all know that growing up is challenging, but, with a mentor, it’s a little easier. And that’s exactly why I’ve chosen to be volunteer with College Mentors.

I enjoy volunteering because I get to spend time with my buddy family each week and participate in fun activities together. I also enjoy learning alongside them about careers, culture and diversity, and community service. Not only do we like exploring our world together, but my buddy family helps me grow as a person too. This program helps me to give back to my community, and I'm learning important leadership skills in the meantime.
