As we all know my sweet boy was diagnosed in utero with a severe congenital heart defect known as Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome (HLHS). He's already had 2 open heart surgeries with 1 more to come. He currently is in heart failure that we are managing with medication and has several procedures scheduled in the coming months. 

My son's CHD diagnosis has led me to participate in the Congenital Heart Walk, an event that carries immense significance for me. It's not just a walk; it's a stride toward changing lives. Did you know there is NO CURE for CHD and CHD research gets very little funding?! This endeavor is all about supporting The Children's Heart Foundation and their crucial mission - advancing the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of congenital heart defects through groundbreaking research.
