Welcome to our 2025 Columbus Buddy Walk® team fundraising page! We can't wait to celebrate our loved one with Down syndrome on Sunday, October 5!
We began our journey with our amazing buddy Brayden "Brady" in May 2011! Brady is a sweet, fun-loving boy with an incredible spirit. At just 4 1/2 months old, he underwent open-heart surgery in September 2011, which led to a lengthy hospital stay, several code blue incidents, and multiple subsequent surgeries. When we finally left the hospital, Brady had a trach and a feeding tube. After a few years, Brady graduated to have both of these removed through surgery. 

Now, at 13 years old, Brady continues to overcome every challenge that comes his way. His positive attitude and infectious energy make him a friend to everyone he meets. Because of his beautiful spirit, we proudly advocate for him and all other individuals within the Down Syndrome community.

During our hospital stay, we were first introduced to the Down Syndrome Association of Central Ohio (DSACO). With over 250,000 people in the U.S. living with Down syndrome, DSACO works to provide tools and opportunities that promote awareness, acceptance, and inclusion in our communities. Every dollar we raise brings us closer to ensuring that our children, and all individuals, have the chance to reach their full potential.
