Its impossible to count the ways that the Colorado Outward Bound School has positively impacted my life over the years. From starting as an mountain program instructor, freshly minted in Colorado- circa 1981, to building a consulting career and eventually owning a thriving small business here in Boulder. I am grateful everyday for the impact that the COBS' community has had in my life, whether from deep staff friendships (40 years and going strong) to the amazing people of all ages I was privilieged to work with in the field. I'm reaching out to ask that we PAY IT FORWARD- giving more young people and young adults the opportunity to make an impression on others and in their own lives- to learn how to thrive in an often scary and uncertain world. That's the power of Outward Bound. To have the privilege of being with others... hiking, striving, climbing, cooking your own meals, failing, picking yourself up again and having a good laugh in the wilds of nature.
