Usually when someone jumps off a giant building it is not a good thing.  Thankfully I will be holding a rope.  And the rope will be holding me.  

Just before the pandemic I met with a principal of a middle school.  Just that week alone she had three students who needed to be referred to professional help in their struggle with depression and suicidal thoughts.  Being a parent, it crushed my heart.  

Schools. Under-resourced communities.  Families.  They all need help.  They challenges facing teenagers are greater than ever before.  Just today I heard of a teenage girl who committed suicide.  What helped me with the good news of God's love for me demonstrated in the death and resurrection of Christ.  But often, before someone can believe that God cares for them, they need a messenger that truly cares for them. 

Miami Youth For Christ goes to the juvenile detention centers and cares for teens facing criminal charges and share the good news with them.  Miami Youth For Christ has a City Life Kix Youth Program in three under resourced communities in Miami-Dade County and we show youth that someone truly cares.  Miami Youth For Christ is reaching youth through the artistic elements of Hip Hop and letting them know someone truly cares.  And personally, I am thankful to be a part of the Campus Life Clubs in providing a place in schools to let youth know someone cares. 

I am rappelling down a 10 story building to help support the effort of Miami Youth For Christ to care for youth and bring them good news.  Your support financially and through prayer will make a tremendous difference in youth to feel cared for and become less violent.... both to others and to themselves
