Ithaca Alumnae Chapter (IAC) is a part of the “Dynamic Eastern Region” of the nationally incorporated Delta Sigma Theta Sorority. Our Walkathon team captains are Denise Lee and Ella Awa. (IAC) was chartered at the St. James AME Zion Church here in Ithaca, 43 years ago on February 2nd 1980. Since then, we have taken part in many community service programs from Ithaca to Elmira/Corning, NY.

We are a social justice oriented community service organization. Making our community a safe and wonderful place to be is what we are about! We are pleased to be part of the Cancer Resource Center's 29th Annual Walkathon & 5K, raising funds, spreading the word, and honoring our loved ones.

We have worked together with the Cancer Resource Center, Cayuga Medical Center, Southside Community Center, Greater Ithaca Activities Center, and the Lourdes Mobile Mammography Unit to provide information and cancer related services to our many friends, family members, and sorority sisters throughout the years.
