Why I'm participating in the Virtual Crossroads 5K & Family Fun Day
Crossroads School changes the lives of students with autism and their families through innovative ABA-based programming, highly skilled teachers and clinicians, and the shared belief that everyone deserves to reach their full potential. That's why every year, hundreds of people come together to run, walk, volunteer, and raise awareness for the students at Crossroads School.
This year, the event is going virtual due to the coronavirus pandemic.
While Covid-19 is keeping us from celebrating together at the Crossroads 5K & Family Fun Day, it can’t stop us from challenging ourselves and each other! This year, the school is inviting people to take a stroll around their neighborhoods, a trail they enjoy, or even on their treadmills!
This year’s goal was to raise $50,000. Crossroads still needs those funds to provide the best services and supports to individuals with autism. Right now, they are paying staff, even when they are losing revenue because they can’t bill for services due to restrictions. They need to purchase protective equipment so they're ready when they're allowed to resume direct services and return to school. Please help me support Crossroads this year. I hope you will get in on the fun and make a difference while helping me raise funds and awareness for individuals with autism at Crossroads.
