Our Walk for Animals is going VIRTUAL!
You can help animals in need, while following Governor Scott's Stay Home, Stay Safe Order. To keep everyone safe and healthy, we have decided that our Walk will go Virtual this year, a Stay Home, Save Lives Edition! While so much is uncertain, one thing we can all count on is that homeless animals will need CVHS. In these troubled times, we are facing unprecedented losses in funding. Our community has always been there for the animals at CVHS, we can make it through this together!
Now, more than ever, we need your help.
Walk for Animals is CVHS’s largest and most important annual fundraising event. We need to raise $70,000! Every penny raised is necessary to ensure we can go the extra mile for every single animal who needs us this year.

Going virtual doesn’t mean going without fun!
Since we can't be physically together this year, we have set up a fun way to bring viritual excitement to the Walk. Your pet can enter the CVHS Pet Photo Contest. This means that not only the dogs get to have fun, but all pets can be included. Cats, rabbits, birds, reptiles; if you have a pet that loves to be photographed or would like to dress up, please share a photo with us! We will award prizes to the top vote getter in each category and the Grand Prize winner (selected by a Judges Panel) will be displayed in the Times Argus!

As a Walk fundraiser you can get one free entry by emailing Linnea@centralvermonthumane.org for a one-time-use unique code. But remember if you pay the photo contest entry fee of $10, you are contributing to saving more animals. Votes are just $1 each with no vote limit. (That means you and your friends can stuff the ballot box for your favorite pet!)
Souvenir T-shirt for Fundraisers!
If you register as a fundraiser and raise at least $50 you will receive your very own souvenir Walk for Animals T-shirt. You can donate to your own page and ask your contacts to contribute. If your friends also want a t-shirt, have them start their own fundraising page to increase the support for needy pets. (One shirt per individual fundraiser.)
Prizes, Prizes, Prizes!
Prizes will be awarded to the top 3 adult fundraisers and the top 3 child fundraisers, so make sure to tell us which category fits for you.
There is also a prize for the top fundraising team! So create a team and have some friendly competition. Not only can you be the winner of a prize but you will be a big winner for the animals!
