His additional accomplishments include Founder of Clinic with a Heart, past President and Board Member of the Nebraska Medical Association, and Adjunct Assistant Professor at the both the University of Nebraska Medical Center and Creighton University School of Medicine. He received the COPIC Humanitarian Award in 2019, presented annually to a physician for volunteer medical services and contributions to their community. In 2017, he was named the Nebraska Family Physician of the Year.
