Almost four years ago, our family was suddenly thrust into the world of congenital heart defects when we found out our sweet Calvin would need two life-saving procedures to correct a serious heart condition.

We didn’t have a roadmap. We didn’t know the medical terms. And as first-time parents, we had no idea what the next right step was. But thanks to incredible medical care—and the steady support of our family, friends, and church—Calvin is now a happy, healthy, and very active little boy.

We’re fundraising to celebrate how far our family has come, but even more than that, we’re doing it for the families who are just beginning this journey. Families who will receive unexpected diagnoses and need guidance, hope, and support. We’re raising funds in the hope that every child with a heart defect has the chance at a bright future.
