Patrick’s Cardio Crew

This is our second year participating in the Children’s Heart Foundation Dallas Walk, and we’re walking with a whole lot of heart! Our crew walks for Patrick, who was born with a rare heart defect called PA/IVS. In his first year, he has already shown incredible courage, undergoing three cardiac catheter procedures and one open-heart surgery for a biventricular repair.

Congenital heart defects are the most common birth defect, affecting nearly 1 in 100 babies, yet research remains critically underfunded. There is still so much to learn about early detection and better treatment for children like Patrick, and the Children’s Heart Foundation is helping to close that gap by funding life-saving research.
