Hi, I’m Sara Montgomery, and I’m honored to serve as a Member-at-Large on the board of Blossom’s Animal Sanctuary. My involvement with this incredible organization began three years ago as a volunteer, and it has truly transformed my life. Working alongside a team so dedicated to giving animals the love and care they deserve has been a deeply moving experience. And out of all the wonderful animals I’ve come to know, one has captured my heart in a special way—Mango, a resilient and spirited orangutan who reminds me every day why this work matters so much.

Mango came to us under devastating circumstances, but thanks to the sanctuary’s care, she has made incredible strides. Watching her grow, whether she’s swinging from the trees or quietly resting in a moment of affection, has been a privilege. Our bond has inspired me to go above and beyond to support her ongoing care and the vital work the sanctuary does for so many animals.

This year, I’m excited to take on a new challenge as part of Blossom’s unique "Dancing with the Board" fundraising event! Board members like me will be training with professional dancers, learning routines, and performing on stage to raise money for the animals. Here’s the twist: your donations act as votes to help us win the competition! I’ll be dancing my heart out not just for Mango, but for every animal who relies on the sanctuary for a better tomorrow.
