Karina Bonn has been happily married to her husband, Tom, for 34 years, and together they have raised four adult children. She is an Occupation Therapist, currently dedicating her expertise to three distinct areas: working with students who have dyslexia, teaching piano to young musicians and providing home health care to older adults. Outside of her professional life, Karina has a diverse range of passions. She enjoys teaching and has a strong appreciation for music. An avid outdoor enthusiast, she loves trail running, mountain biking, rafting, floating rivers, and participating in all types of snow sports. Karina and her husband have a long history with supporting students in the community, orphans in Africa and Ethiopia and now look forward to finding more locals ways to support children in our community.

Jake Tavita has been dancing with his family all his life. His group, Hokule'a (Star of Gladness) of Central Oregon, have been sharing their culture with many people across Oregon for many years. He has taught hundreds throughout his time as Kumu Hula (Dance Teacher). Dance is a huge part of his culture; it tells stories from the past and keeps his connection to his culture alive. He hopes to share the stories of his culture with dance and share the knowledge of his heritage.
