Kelly Burton is the Activities Director, Yearbook Advisor and has taught English at South Medford High School for over 20 years. She helps plan all school activities including spirit weeks, dances, clubs, field trips, rallies, assemblies, yearbook publication, and graduation. In Leadership and Student Government, Kelly helps Southern Oregon Sparrow Clubs introduce the Panther community to their Sparrow each year. Various school activities and fundraisers benefit not only the Sparrow and their family, but the South students as well. They realize the importance of community service and creating a kind, compassionate culture within the student body. She attended Jacksonville Elementary, McLoughlin, and South. While growing up, she played softball and volleyball, and was in student government, cheer and dance. During college, Kelly began visiting as many new cities, states, and countries as possible. She pursues this passion for knowledge, exploring new cultures today. Kelly has been married to her “soul mate,” Seth, for 17 years. They have three phenomenal children. Abby is an R.N. in Honolulu, Hawaii, Jacob attends college in Oceanside, California, and Charlie, an 8^th grader at McLoughlin plays football and basketball, and is a real baseball superstar. She loves to spend time with her girlfriends, talking, dancing, and laughing at themselves. She also loves listening to music, shopping, and reading racy romance. She claims that her three kids and her job keep her young, which is why you might catch her twerking in the kitchen or dancing (totally appropriately) in South Medford’s annual “Milli Vanilli” competition!
