Nohea is beyond excited to be competing as a Hip Hop “Star” in DWTRVS. She has been preparing for this opportunity for decades. In addition to endorsing dance offs as the only true path to kitchen table justice, Nohea has always had dance in her soul. Nohea studied dance for a few decades, danced with Disney for years, then joined the National Tour of Yo Gabba Gabba!, performing at venues from Late Night with Jimmy Fallon to Coachella to the iconic Radio City Music Hall. She has been both the Dance Captain for Musical Theater productions from the community to regional levels, as well as a Choreographer for Six Flags St. Louis. For Nohea, the real honor of participating in this wildly fun show is in the privilege of supporting Sparrow Clubs, and the Sparrows and families that are the heart of this extraordinary organization. Her son, Aidan, was honored as a Sparrow last year. He faces his Congenital Heart Disease with grace and bravery and inspires our youngest community members to embrace compassion and pay it forward with kindness in action. Nohea is passionate about her involvement in the local Heart community and remains dedicated to raising awareness and resources supporting local cancer patient care through The Hillcrest Committee. A special note of love and gratitude goes out to her family and friends who’ve supported her through her return to the stage and continuously keep her inspired and laughing all the other days while she’s running a carpool.
