Washington DC Congenital Heart Walk

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page! I am participating in the Congenital Heart Walk to support the mission of The Children's Heart Foundation: to advance the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of congenital heart defects by funding the most promising research.

I have seen first hand how this amazing event helps save lives. My sister was only 2yrs old when she had open heart surgery. That was a day I didn't want to relive but unfortunately it all came rushing back when her own baby boy recently had open heart surgery at just 3 days old! Fast forward to today and they are both thriving and living a full life. I first thank God they are both doing so well. But secondly, I thank everyone who has donated to the Children's Heart Foundation and helped provide the life-saving research, diagnosis and treatments that we have today. Plus, I've met the parents and children who have also survived congenital heart defects and proudly participated in our Wolf Trap Heart Walk.
