Coast to Coast for Hospice in Memory of Tania Coddington Deren Description
My name is Dale Coddington and cycling has been a big part of my family’s life. My beautiful, caring daughter passed away unexpectedly in February 2014 and since then I have wanted to do something in her memory - something to make a difference for others to remember her.
I am 72 years old and for many years have had a desire to ride my bicycle coast-to-coast. I had decided that I was too old but recently had a change of heart now that I'm retired. It was my granddaughter, Abby (pictured above) that suggested that I do this ride in memory of her mother, Tania. It was also Abby who selected Center for Hospice Care in Mishawaka IN as our not-for-profit of choice after experiencing their grief counseling programs. 100% of the donations will go to Center for Hospice Care’s bereavement programs, a not-for-profit organization in Northern Indiana. I will cover all expenses for the trip. The thing that we love about Center for Hospice Care is that they not only help those in the last days of their lives, they also help those left behind to grieve. I want to thank Center for Hospice Care for the part that their counseling services played in helping Abby through a very difficult time in her life.
I know that Tania will be with me every day on this COAST to COAST for Hospice ride.
