Duval Charter School at Mandarin is fundraising for the Assisted Dog and Pony Therapy (ADAPT) program at Nemours Children’s Specialty Care in Jacksonville. ADAPT is a first-of-its kind model to incorporate canines (dogs) and equines (ponies) into clinical, therapeutic treatment planning for Nemours patients.
The winning class who raises the most money will win a meet & greet with our miniature ponies Buc and Taco! Buc and Taco are two of our pet therapists registered through Pet Partners. The meet & greet will be held at Duval Charter School at Mandarin on National Therapy Animal Day, April 30th. The class will also be painting a canvas of a Spirit Horse to keep in their classroom as a trophy!
