Hi, I’m Ken Martens—79 years young, powered by purpose, and proud to be lifting for Deadlifts for Dreams 7 in support of The Dream Factory.

This event means a lot to me. Not only am I working toward a personal goal—stepping onto a deadlift platform for the first time—but I’m doing it for a cause that truly matters: helping make a dream come true for a young boy battling life-threatening illness.

I know firsthand how important it is to have a supportive community. That’s exactly what I’ve found at One Family Fitness, where I’ve had the privilege of training with my coaches, Jen and Dino. They’ve helped me grow stronger, train smarter, and stay committed to my health—even with a pacemaker and a few extra decades under my belt.

Now, I’m stepping up to show that it’s never too late to chase a goal—and that strength comes in many forms. I’m proud to represent Team One Family Fitness and lift alongside Coach Jen in support of The Dream Factory and the incredible dreamers they support.
