We have been coordinating the tandem bicycle rides at the Seabeck (WA) Deaf Blind Retreat since 2009. With our team of volunteers, our goal each August is to provide safe bicycle rides for all campers during the Retreat.
When we first met in 1980, many of our dates were bicycle outings. When we got our first tandem bicycle in 1998, the riding options escalated. It was not long before we discovered that we could enhance our cycling experience by providing shared rides on a tandem!
So many of the campers look forward to bicycle rides at Seabeck each year. Bicycling is a small portion of what the Retreat offers as the camp is enriched with so many activities allowing for autonomy for all.
The Seabeck Deaf Blind Retreat is a heartfelt event that is worthy of the community's support.
