Four years ago, this journey started with a stage 4 cancer diagnosis. Today, I’m grateful to be in complete remission—and focused on giving back.

The Dempsey Challenge is the premier fundraising event for the Dempsey Center, a nonprofit founded by actor Patrick Dempsey. The Center provides support, education, and wellness services to individuals and families impacted by cancer—improving their physical, emotional, social, and overall well-being at any point in their journey, all at no cost.

Over the past four years, what started as a personal cancer journey has become a commitment to giving back. That makes this year’s effort especially meaningful to me.
